KutaSomm is announcing a new 1-day wine appreciation class on June 3, 2019 from 4-6pm. Open to the public, this class will take place at the Carlsbad by the Sea Retirement Community main event room. The venue is on the Coast Highway 101 near Carlsbad Village Drive. The main event room is a very large hall and is perfect for wine tasting. The audio/video setup is first rate. We will be tasting fantastic French wines from the Loire and Rhône Valleys. The Loire Valley is known for the varietals Melon de Bourgogne, Chenin Blanc, Cabernet Franc, and Sauvignon Blanc, and Pinot Noir. From the Rhône Valley comes Viognier, Syrah, Grenache, and Muscat, Although we likely can’t taste all those grapes, find out which six will be poured by coming to the class!
