I am now a Certified Level 2 Member of the Academy of Cheese after passing the second level certification test. Let’s have some cheese to celebrate!

During the pandemic, MiraCosta College wine appreciation classes are held via Zoom. While some wine is delivered to local attendees, some choose to pick up their weekly wine tastes in small carafes. I hand-made special carrying crates to accompany the carafes. I like to call these ‘K-boxes’ because I branded them with a K for KutaSomm. Yes, I lit my charcoal BBQ grill, heated up the brand, and then burned a ‘K’ into the box. Beautiful!

Discovering Gems of the Wine World kicked off last night with a successful first session via Zoom at MiraCosta College. Space is still available for the next class beginning Mar 24, Let’s Talk Wines Around The World. Cheers!

The next MiraCosta College wine appreciation course Discovering Gems of the Wine World has SOLD OUT with about 3 weeks to go before the first class session. Thank you to all who have registered.
