The new MiraCosta College Fall catalog is coming out soon. Here is a preview of wine classes offered. I’ll be lecturing every Wednesday night from 7-9pm at the San Elijo campus.

Vino Nobile de Montepulciano is a Sangiovese-based wine from vineyards around the village of Montepulciano in Tuscany, Italy.

Dudley’s Bakery is in beautiful Santa Ysabel in a high mountain meadow. Stop by for great baked goods and incredible scenery.

Last weekend, I held a Texas wine class at Correcaminos Vineyard in Ramona, CA. Not only was wine served, but the attendees also enjoyed some Shiner Bock beer and local smoked brisket from Pete’s BBQ in Ramona. A fun time was had by all.

In October, the Wine Ninjas and I took a scouting trip to Paso Robles. Here, we learned an incredible amount about Paso Wine Country and secured a couple of great sponsorships from Lone Madrone and Desperada. You’ll see these wines at MiraCosta College next semester!

Things are rolling along during the Fall semester at MiraCosta College. Wine appreciation courses include Wines From A Land Down Under, Bordeaux Master, and Vive La France! More courses coming for the Winter and Spring semesters!
