SDBG has a special item called a Corpse Plant that blooms once every 2-5 years. When the flower opens, it emits an aroma reminiscent of a dead body. It is truly unique.

Another fantastic winery located on Santorini is Venetsanos Winery, which includes an amazing view of the island’s port.

Spring Break was spent in Greece, visiting Athens and the island of Santorini. Domaine Sigalas was definitely a highlight of the trip. Assrytiko is where it’s at!

2014 Paul Bara Bouzy Grand Cru

Even though 2017 was not one of the standout vintages of the decade, this Château Pichon Baron from Pauillac is an outstanding example of what some chateaux can achieve in off vintage years.

What a wonderful tasting event at the San Diego Botanic Garden. This was an incredible setting for a wine tasting. Fun for all!
